Between the Missouri and the Vineyards

You can almost hear the heat

There is a vineyard in Augusta where music and wine are available and in the middle of summer you can look out over the valley, with the Missouri River just beyond the ridge and see the humidity and hear the singing cicadas.

And if you’re not sipping wine and talking with friends, you can probably eek out a few pages of writing. And no one will mind. Nor ask what you’re doing.
Or, not doing.
