crushing cuties into potion…

They were left on the counter, having somehow escaped the holiday feasting madness…five little cuties…all alone…one of them was rather hard, it’s juice having gone somewhere, seeping through its skin maybe, I dunno. But it was rock hard and refused the juicing I was about to give the other four…because there’s magic in that juice…and writers can always use a little magic.

Planning to jump into Laurie Colwin’s HOME COOKING this evening. Just a little taste of it. Have other books to finish but…just for a little taste.

Guess you enjoyed this refreshing fruit drink when watching Downton Abbey S3?
I have one of those juicers. They do the job, wash up quick and store easily.
You know, you remind me I have been thinking of digging into Home Cooking again — it’s been a long while. When I contemplate my family recipe book, I keep thinking that Laurie C. had the ultimate model — recipes (that didn’t always quite turn out) and stories. Oh, the stories. Sounds lovely! (What is it with those hard fruits — limes do it, too!)
