Full tilt Tuesday…

Lessons learned today (some of them not for the first time!):

There are no “breaks”; you have to create them, the opportunity for them.

Someone else’s deadline may not even necessarily mean anything to that someone else. So no reason to lose sleep over it, nor to skip lunch.

Good writing is often secondary to excellent presentation. (OK, no, I don’t like it either, but in the corporate world, I gotta tell ya’, that’s what it often is.)

Dressing well will indeed make you feel better. It lets you walk into any place, anywhere, so you don’t even have to think about that level of acceptance.

Writing is NOT something you just do, that you just sit down and do, like a performance, nor is it an exercise, just like that, nor is it just about any old thing, for just any old body.

The semicolon is not dead; it is not completely dead, anyway.

You must feed a writer from time to time, or he/she will start writing about or referring to you in the oddest ways.

Is that the dinner bell?
