Two errands and 1 manuscript read to go tonight…

September 18, 2008 § 1 Comment

The sun’s going down. The crickets are at it, sawing away in the grass (which could use mowing).  The dogs are lying by the screen doors, noses tuned to everything beyond their territory. HM is on his laptop.

I sigh and look for my purse. I need to run to the mall for a gift, come home and settle in with reading and proofing a manuscript.

If only the stock market reflected how hard we all work, the collective effort and sincerity, rather than the crazy ups and downs of buying and selling. (Yeah, obviously I’m not a stock expert, but that’s just how it looks to me from over here.)
