Christmas at Home …

That’s our lovely Laylou (pictured left). What’s she doing in the kitchen where she has become an extraordinary baker? No, she is not baking. Hmmm…Perhaps she’s adding a little something extra to her Christmas list?

This is Bear. I know. It’s difficult to see him, that is, to tell where he starts and ends. We don’t often take his picture except in the bright light of summer because he is so dark, so ebony, he’s like a black hole, sucking in all the light and not reflecting any so you can’t get much dimension.  He always takes second fiddle to the beagle in terms of pictures for this reason.  Snarl snapped this one at dinner the other day. Bear was claiming a spot underneath the dining room Xmas tree, you know, the place where the beagle usually insinuates himself. Well, I can be there, too, Bear says, plunking his 90+ pounds of lab and shepherd as close to the velvet tree skirt as possible. That’s an ear you can see closest to the tree. The rest you’ll have to guess at.

Merry Christmas!

He is a Bear! Funny how animals love to be near the tree. What does that mean?
Children home for the holidays? Isn’t that lovely!? I hope you got some cookies from the cookie exchange. One more day….

So beautiful and so warm! I love it! I wish I could have tinsel on the big tree. Bad cat food, and since the Gypsy eats everything, this would be no exception. It’s all lovely! How was your cookie exchange?

Thanks for the shout out! Not a bad picture of me, huh? =)

Q, Bear was glad to have a comment! He bumped the beagle a little as he passed him in the doorway to say, “See? I got street cred.” And yes, we got cookies from the exchange allright! Wow.

Jeanie – HM has wanted tinsel on one of the trees for years, so it’s on … one! Turns out that our daughter’s dog, Jack, is a tinsel eater, though! He and Gypsy could have quite a party together!

Laylou – I like this picture. It has a “story” to it. And you look great.
