Called niece twice. No response.
Did a tel no. search using manuscript sender’s name and city/state.
Have number. No guarantees it’s correct. Seems awfully invasive to call …
Besides it’s Sunday. It would be rude to call (non-family) member about “business.”


So … just to see, read first two pages of ms.
No, it’s surely not from HM as a ruse.
Even if he were an expert actor,chameleon, impersonator, or even a shapeshifter, it’s just not HM’s writing.
So that much is a surety.

    This is the strangest thing. I just can’t imagine why someone would do this — with no contact info, no letter saying what for. Keep us posted and let us know what happens!

    Well it most certainly is a testament to how/what Heath thinks of you! You must keep me posted. But still, I echo Nova. It’s rather a weird thing to do. Bizzaro world we live in, even amongst family members!

    Nova- You’re right. Even now that I have the backstory, this is just all kind of silly. Is the guy serious?
    Laylou- yeah, I think a lot of people don’t really “get” the writing process OR industry!
    Jeanie- Well now we know there’s a ferry boat captain who fancies himself a writer. I think the conversations he has with the people on his ferry might make some really good stories, but then, I’ve read only a few pages of his manuscript. So saying, guess I’ll delve into it a bit later tonight and see what’s what …
