When is a blog …

April 2, 2009 § 5 Comments

When is a blog not a blog? When the blogger isn’t blogging!!!!!

Almost there. I have just a few more deadlines and a huge prep for  a meeting. And then one other thing, which I’ll share later, when I figure out a celebratory  manner in which to do so.

My desire-to-write-creatively cup runneth over. If I don’t get back to this pretty soon, the family is going to BEG me to do it.

It’s kinda like the time I gave up Coca Cola   (or was it caffeine?)  The family begged me to resume my occasional enjoyment – without it, I guess I was  a bit edge-y, or annoying, or…something!

And so it is with blogging. HM asked the other day why wasn’t I “writing?”
What? Was he kidding? That’s what I’ve been hammering on for nearly two weeks!.
No, he explained. He didn’t mean writing for $$ $ & deadlines.  He meant writing-not-on-demand.  Blogging.  Notes. Letters. My journal. Essays … anything.

OK. Will get back to the fun stuff  asap.
(and now, for a little caffeine)

You leave us in suspense! But I know what you mean — all the work writing, deadlines — it’s one thing. But the stuff for fun, whether it’s the blog or your own thing — that’s a different animal. And one to welcome back with open arms when you can!

Methinks you have a good and observant man about the house!

I have a similar addiction to Coke. Ah, the nectar of the gods…I’m sure you’re doing beautiful writing on things more important than a blog, but blogging can somehow be as addictive as Coke. Best to you, my friend.

The world getting in the way of our real lives… sounds so familiar! Hope you get on top of it. Don’t worry, blogs will always be there, that’s the good thing about the virtual world

I have times like this as well, and it makes me realize just how important the creative writing part of me really is!

We’ll be waiting for you when you get back 🙂
