And to those who came home less than whole and those who care for them and to those who believe we humans can rise above our historical state of having tribal warfare as a common activity. The fog of war, the dividends of peace, the flesh and fortune lost, the unwritten poems, the unmarried women, the unborn children. Give peace a chance–give peace a chants….
I have never been to the Washington memorials — I see what I have missed.
