Walking the walk, the boardwalk, that is…

July 13, 2011 § 4 Comments

Honestly, haven’t seen anyone “bouncing” yet. Hmmm….

Ah, but the bikes and boards are everywhere…no, really – everywhere!

How about rules? Are there any rules?

OK, no strict rules I guess. Other than that one must be clothed in order to walk the boardwalk.

And all the time, one walks and wonders, “Is there a way to live here with the sun and sand, or is this just a timeout?”

More escape routes…!

Feel the heat! Embrace the blue!

Ride the wave…

I sometimes wonder what it would like to live the life a beach bum and be able to hang out on the boardwalk all day. Glad that you’re getting to explore and discover such a beautiful, laid-back area.

Thanks, M! I trying to take pictures along the Pacific Coast Highway when venturing out. There’s some sheer drama between the canyons on one side of the road and the ocean surf on the other.

I suspect life there is much like life on our “Third Coast” – there is a real life, a community underneath all the beachbum wannabes, but it’s not readily apparent – and a lot of residents try to keep it that way.

Jimmy Buffett sings about the phenomenon…. But of our course we’re a little more seasonal than Cali is.

Aaahh, just to be away again 🙂 Lovely, lovely pictures. Holidays are just so great, aren’t they?
