Caught red-handed…

(photo was “filtered” using MS Digital Suite’s  “pencil drawing” effect. This one goes in the Backyard book, now in progress.)

Archie successfully raided the bird feeder.

It has since been moved, only inches but enough to quell this young buck’s leaping abilities.
And yet his engineer-brain is already at work on finding a new path to plant him on the feeder plate and allow him to plump up on that lovely black oil sunflower seed.

Thanks so much for sharing this picture today, I absolutely needed it. Its a great visual reminder that all it takes is some creative scheming, lots of persistence, and hard work to get on to the next thing.

Engineer’s brain indeed! Life is nothing if not a long (hopefully!) series of minute adjustments. Long Live Archie the Squirrel. But I bet your husband is pissed that this guy is sucking down his black oil sunflower seeds quicker than he can say “Archie the SlideRule Squirrel”!.

Lots to learn from Archie….And oh, I am suddenly very hungry :)….!

    Clever! You and Archie.

  • Arti says:

Interesting rendering, oh. Maybe you can try mounting a hidden camera there to capture all the activities, Archie and the birds. I’m sure you’ll get a good clip for “Funniest Videos”.

What a nice rendering, oh. I enjoy post-processing and the creative things that can be done.

And you know I love Archie. In the human-squirrel battles of the world, I’ll always root for the squirrels – at least a little!

To be continued indeed. Those little guys win the award for sticktoitiveness. The good money is on Archie.

Archie will win. He will always win~!
